Loiske Ensemble: BabySauna - Loiske Ensemble 20 Years!

Loiske Ensemble celebrates 20 years of creating performances for babies with BabySauna. Alongside the youngest audience members, other festive guests are also invited.

BabySauna introduces 0-1-year-olds and their companions to Finnish sauna culture through art and sensory experiences. The performance features the sounds of water, a dance rhythmed by sauna stones, and colourful washing buckets - alongside familiar washing gestures and the joy of playing in water. After the performance, the audience gets to try out the elements they have seen and experienced.

The performance lasts 30 minutes, followed by a shared washing moment of approximately 15 minutes.

BabySauna premiered at the Hurraa! children's theatre festival in Helsinki in March 2015 and was selected as the Children's Culture Centres' small ITU performance idea for 2015. Since then, the performance has toured in Finland, France, Lithuania, Norway and Japan.
