Ut genom väggen! - Ragnar Bengtström's Poetry Reading

The poetry reading Ut genom väggen! opens a door into the world of a poet and performer. Ragnar Bengtström's poems explore the beauty, sorrow, and absurdity of life - with humour and warmth. In the performance, words and music intertwine: Bengtström reads his poems to the cello music of Elina Mattila, and narrator Sanna Huldén - who also serves as editor of the poems - performs on stage. The performance is directed by Mikaela Hasán.

Ut genom väggen! is a co-production between DuvTeatern and Wegelius Kammarorkester. The premiere took place on 28 February 2026 at Luckkan in Helsinki. DuvTeatern is an independent theatre group in Helsinki where people with and without developmental disabilities, as well as other performing arts professionals, have worked since 1999.

The performance runs approximately 45 minutes, including discussion. It is based primarily on poetry reading and cello music, with light audio description included. The event is conducted in Swedish.

The event is part of the Seniornätverket Helsinki senior network and is organized in collaboration with Vuotalo. There is also an information booth for seniors. Free admission, no advance registration required.
