Ask the Sisters is a musical rooted in the creators' own experiences and those of other women - told with sharp wit, humor, and tenderness. The production grew from a Facebook post about menopause that sparked a flood of comments and evolved into a full-scale show celebrating the courage to share and the power of peer support. The musical explores life's joys and sorrows broadly, including miscarriage.

The production is directed by Reino Bragge, former head of Jyväskylä City Theatre. The concept is by Susanna Haavisto, Anna-Mari Kähärä, and Satu Rasila; the text is written by Rasila, the music composed by Kähärä, and the song lyrics and monologues from the "Musta valo" medley are by Haavisto. The cast includes Katriina Honkanen, Tytti Vänskä, Saara Jokiaho, Paula Honkimäki, and Anna-Maija Oka. The musicians are Hanna Turunen and Ilona Rimpilä.
