On Finland Nature Day, the programme takes participants into the forest at Björnberget. Scouts will serve forest coffee to the first 50 concert visitors.

15:00 Jouhikko artist Pekko Käppi performs in a forest concert. You can also attend the concert without joining the guided walks - directions to the concert site from the intersection of Viilarintie and Holkkitie at 14:45. Bring a seat cushion.

Pekko Käppi is a musician specializing in old Finnish song tradition and plays the Finnish-Karelian jouhikko. He is known as a pioneer of the jouhikko's contemporary revival, as well as a researcher, teacher, producer and composer - his compositions have been created for film, theatre, installations and recordings.
Riikka Kaihovaara is a Helsinki-based documentarian and writer whose ecological interests focus on difficult questions and sensitive issues. Sanja Hakala is a biologist and science writer who has authored works including "Little Moomintroll's Insect Book" and "Moominpappa's Bird Book", and has done science communication at the Insect Academy.

Weather contingency: in case of heavy rain or strong winds, the concert will be moved indoors to Stoa, and the insect walk will be conducted as a workshop inside Stoa.
The event is organized by Stoa, Itäkeskus Library, Cultural Services, Helsinki Workers' Institute and Youth Services. Free admission.
