The Forest Sounds: Teatteri ILMI Ö - Theatre Performance for Kindergarten Groups

The Forest Sounds is a multilingual, participatory contemporary theatre performance for children and families. The performance takes audiences into the City Rabbit's absurd forest, filled with music, different languages, play and surprising wing flaps. Along the way, you meet at least the Nightingale Bul Bul and some large, hairy, slowly moving creature. The performance ends with collective drumming and dancing.

The performance respects diversity, equality and non-discrimination both on stage and in the audience. Audiences have the opportunity to participate in the performance in whatever way they choose.

The performance uses Finnish, Kurdish, Persian, Dari and Arabic - however, the expression is not based on the languages, so the performance can be followed without knowledge of these languages.

The performance was created by Anne Korhonen, Marouf Majidi, Maria Myllykangas, Minna Savin and Outi Sädekallio-Snellman using the devising method together with children and young people.
