Metsässä soi: Teatteri ILMI Ö

Metsässä soi is a multilingual and participatory contemporary theatre production for children and the whole family. The performance takes audiences into the City Rabbit's absurd forest, filled with music, different languages, play, and surprising wing flaps. Along the way, you meet the Nightingale Bul Bul and some large, hairy, slow-moving creature. The performance ends with collective drumming and dancing.

The production uses Finnish, Kurdish, Persian, Dari, and Arabic. However, the expression is not based on language, so the performance can be followed without knowledge of these languages. The audience has the opportunity to participate in the performance in their own way, and diversity and equality are respected both on stage and in the audience.

The performance was created by Anne Korhonen, Marouf Majidi, Maria Myllykangas, Minna Savin, and Outi Sädekallio-Snellman using the devising method together with children and young people.

Age recommendation: preschool age and their adults. Duration: 30 min + shared play on stage.
