Pecha Kucha - Pictures from My Life

In the Middle Ages, a person saw roughly five images in their entire lifetime - today they flood in from every direction, and it is hard to pause at any single one. Yet certain images remain: a firstborn in a mother's arms, a diploma, a public artwork glimpsed abroad.

Espoo Artists' Association organizes a Pecha Kucha event where visual professionals present images from their own lives and art. The theme explores whether these professionals' image choices share common ground - or is the idea of shared artistry merely an illusion? Presentations unfold in a relaxed atmosphere, and after the talks, the audience has the chance to ask questions in an Open Mic style.

Featuring Krista Mikkola (curator), Leena Hoppania (Espoo's culture director), Sini Majuri (glass artist), Heidi Linsen (textile artist), Kirsi-Marja Moberg (poet and visual artist) and Antti Minkkinen (painter).
