Info and Discussion Meeting: Leppävaara Bridge

The Urban Planning Centre is hosting an info and discussion meeting on 6.10.2026 from 17:00 to 19:00 about the reference design plans for the Leppävaara Bridge zoning. The meeting is open to residents of the area and all interested parties, and no advance registration is required.

The evening begins at 17:00 with an information session where city experts and architects from the architecture firm Arco present a status overview of the reference design, its timeline, and resident feedback. At 18:00, the meeting moves to table discussions on three themes: urban image and functions, mobility, and green space planning. Additionally, an overview of the development of the area around Läkkitori will be presented. The meeting concludes at 19:00.

Present will be area architect Tiina Piironen, project manager for Greater Leppävaara Mika Rantala, architects from the architecture firm Arco, and other City of Espoo staff.

Background: The upcoming zoning is based on Leppävaara's international ideas competition, whose winning plan covers the area north of the railway. The participation and assessment plan was on display in spring 2025, and the city planning board is scheduled to review the zoning proposal in autumn 2027.
