Concert: Jarmo Sormunen and Jukka Leppilampi

Jarmo Sormunen and Jukka Leppilampi perform together with Tove Wingren-Leppilampi on Saturday, 19 September 2026 at 4 p.m. in Jämsä Church. Admission is free; the programme booklet costs 10 €. Coffee is served during the concert.

Leppilampi and Sormunen met in the 1970s in the progressive rock band Tabula Rasa. A religious awakening changed both their lives and shaped their music - for several years they toured together around congregations across Finland. These songs became beloved by many and became part of evangelical revival culture. They emphasized trust in Jesus, honesty, humanity, and the idea of dying to oneself: "Not I, but Jesus!".

The years took the men in different directions - Jukka pursued music-making and Jarmo biblical teaching - but their connection endured. Now they have experienced it strengthening further, and the idea of performing together again emerged: songs from decades past and new compositions as well.
