Lecture: Buried in Lotta Uniform - Women Who Fell in the Winter War and Continuation War

During the Winter War and Continuation War, hundreds of women died in military service. They defended Finland at the cost of their lives, but were forgotten when peace came.

In this lecture, historian and journalist Pauliina Ylitalo examines, based on her doctoral research, what tasks the women performed, how and where they died, and how these female war heroes were regarded.
