Kauri Honkakoski Company: HIGH TIDE [nousuvesi]

HIGH TIDE [nousuvesi] is an apocalyptic salon drama set on paradise's final shore. A group of reality-fleeing people enjoy their idyllic picnic while the world crumbles around them - how deep must one's head be buried in the sand to avoid seeing the rising tide? The work explores a tipping point: the moment when something reaches its absolute limit.

HIGH TIDE is a physical theatre ensemble work built on embodiment and the unconscious. The cast includes Ines Kakkonen, Josefin Karlsson, Liv Meijer Nordgren, Freia Stenbäck and Valter Sui. Direction and dramaturgy: Kauri Honkakoski. Duration 60 min, non-verbal, age recommendation 12+.

Three artist meetings are held during the performance week: on 24 and 28 October after performances in Finnish, on 27 October after the performance in Swedish.

The work is a co-production between Kauri Honkakoski Company and Stoa Cultural Centre and is part of the Company's Nordic HIGH TIDE project.
