Residents' Meeting: Fredrikinkatu Street Plan Draft on Display

The City of Helsinki is planning a street design for Fredrikinkatu in the Kamppi district between Uudenmaankatu and Urho Kekkonen Street as part of the West Tram project.

The planning is based on current zoning regulations and the West Helsinki tram network master plan. According to this plan, a tram line section will be built on Fredrikinkatu between Boulevard and Urho Kekkonen Street to complement the city centre's tram network. At the same time, the street will undergo major renovation and intersection and parking arrangements will be updated.

New tram stops will be located at the Boulevard intersection and between the Eerikinkatu and Kansakoulukatu intersections.
