In the Web of Lies, or Vino Veritas

A comedy in two acts.

Four friends decide to tell only the truth on a Halloween evening. What could go wrong! Or could it? In any case, they enlist the help of an ancient drink that facilitates this. The party hostess has brought back a bluish wine from a trip to Peru, which indigenous people drink before marriage. Then one can only speak the truth, and whoever cannot endure it becomes a couple. No wonder the Incas died out!

In typical relationship comedies, small and large lies abound, but here only truth is spoken. At once both terrifying and hilarious!

American David MacGregor's comedy has been translated by Heiti Pakk, and stars Ott Sepp, Kaia Skoblov, Indrek Taalmaa and Marika Barabanštšikova.

"In the Web of Lies, or Truth Hides in Wine" plays at the Savoy Theatre in Helsinki on October 28 at 7 p.m.
