Jakarte: SYMBIOSIS

SYMBIOSIS is a group exhibition by Jakarte, where eleven artists freely interpret the theme. The show features works across multiple art forms: film, drawing, sculpture, photography, installations, and graphics.

The art association Jakarte was founded in 1950 and has around 100 members - professional artists, hobbyists, and art students. In 2025, the association received the Taiken art award. Jakarte works to bridge the language divide and showcase its members' art across Finland - the sister organization Hopanpohja provides an excellent platform for this. Jakarte has previously hosted the Hopanpohja residency and the experimental music club Ääniasema.
