Teatteri Rajapinta: Monttu auki

Monttu auki is a comedy about death - or more precisely, about encountering death. The play follows adult siblings Elina and Petteri, whose mother dies suddenly. Their phone call sets off an avalanche where past and present collide: silenced experiences, warm memories, and childhood lived in different ways surface - and at the centre of it all is the mother herself.

The performance is gripping and stark, at times even brutal, yet full of human warmth and humour. Protective walls crumble as the characters can no longer sustain their roles.
