Mothers and Daughters Weekend

The Mothers and Daughters Weekend is aimed at mothers and girls aged 5-14. The event takes place 13.-15.11 at Karku Evangelical Institute in Sastamala, and registration must be completed by 9.11.

The course fee is 150 € for mothers and 75 € for daughters. The price includes full board with your own bedding, as well as shared toilets and showers. For an additional fee, you can get a toilet and shower in your room (20 €/night/room) or bedding (15 €). Late registration incurs an additional 10 €/person. For participation on one or two days, a 10 % discount on the course fee is available. An invoice will be sent by email after the weekend. The course will be invoiced unless participation is cancelled by the day before the course begins. Accommodation is allocated in order of registration, taking preferences into account.

The programme features age-appropriate activities throughout the weekend. On Friday evening, participants get to know each other and go on a candlelit church walk to the institute's shore led by Johan Helkkula - dress appropriately for the weather and bring something to sit on. On Saturday, mothers are offered lectures on the importance of emotional relationships in child development (Leena Junnila), and in the afternoon there are several activities to choose from: face painting, quiet painting room, pony riding, physical activity, Kings Kid's (Anna Laine), crafts (Kati Leppänen), board games, Lego Masters, escape rooms and story massage. Saturday evening features a gala visit by Juhani Tikkanen. Sunday concludes with a family service, a joint camp closing, and lunch and coffee.

If financial circumstances make participation difficult, you can apply for a possible discount on the course fee from the institute using a separate form.
