Journey to Karelia - Folk Dance Theatre

Journey to Karelia is a dramatized folk dance theatre production that serves as the 60th anniversary concert of the Capital Karelians Youth. When siblings Miila and Senna obtain mysterious dice for the board game Journey to Karelia, an adventure unfolds through Karelian parishes - along the way they encounter monks from Valamo and Knut Poss, the commandant of Viborg Castle, and learn about the customs and traditions of different parishes.

Over a hundred performers bring all the youth dance groups of the Capital Karelians to the stage. The production combines folk dance, music, and theatre.

The performance lasts 2 hours including intermission. Children under 3 years old enter free without their own ticket when sitting in a lap. Tickets are also sold at the door if any remain.
