Day trip to Southern Konnevesi national park (Kuopio)

The trip departs on Friday, 2 October 2026 at 10:00 from the University of Eastern Finland's Canthia building (Yliopistonranta, 70210 Kuopio). A chartered coach with toilet facilities will be used, arriving at Southern Konnevesi around 11:30.

At the national park you can explore independently or join ISYY's group for a more challenging Kalaja loop walk (5 km, approximately 3 hours). There will also be time for self-guided hiking through the park's forest, rocky, and lakeside landscapes. The return journey begins at 15:30, arriving back at Canthia at 17:00.

The trip is open to all UEF students and staff. The cost is 5 €, which includes bus transport. Registration opens in Kide.app from 16-28 September or until places run out - registration is binding. The trip will only take place if there are enough participants; any cancellation will be notified to registered participants by email by 30 September at the latest. Check your spam folder too.
