Hellsinki Metal Festival 2026
Hellsinki Metal Festival runs 7-8 August at Nordis in Helsinki. The festival features Accept, Opeth, Paradise Lost and a Behemoth tribute among its lineup. Age 18+ only.
Accept is a German heavy metal band from Solingen, active since 1976, whose riff-driven sound helped shape both speed metal and thrash. Classics like "Balls to the Wall" (1983) and "Fast as a Shark" (1982) remain genre touchstones, and guitarist Wolf Hoffmann - the only constant member across all lineups - has been the architect of the band's unmistakable style. After several breakups and reunions, Accept returned in 2010 with vocalist Mark Tornillo and have since released a steady run of studio albums, most recently Humanoid (2024).
Accept announced the anniversary album Teutonic Titans 1976-2026, featuring 19 reimagined classics with 50 guest musicians including Kirk Hammett, Rob Halford and Tobias Forge, due September 4, 2026 via Napalm Records.
Accept's 2026 European tour schedule includes a festival appearance at Hellsinki Metalfest in Helsinki on August 7, as well as dates in Gothenburg, Stockholm, Paris and other cities.
Guitarist Uwe Lulis departed Accept in September 2025, following the band's Humanoid album cycle.
Accept released their 17th studio album Humanoid on April 26, 2024, produced by Andy Sneap and issued on Napalm Records.
Accept and KK's Priest announced a joint North American tour for fall 2024, running from Los Angeles to San Francisco.
