Ahti Lassila is a Finnish musician and double bassist who works across classical and rhythmic music. Since 2015 he has been bringing his acoustic bass into museum spaces, letting the instrument, the room and the objects shape the sound together. In his Walking Bass performances he moves through exhibition halls, developing melodic ideas in response to each space.
