Ahti Lassila: Walking Bass

Ahti Lassila's Walking Bass brings the acoustic double bass into the soundscape of KeMu's exhibitions. Lassila moves through the exhibition spaces, developing musical ideas in different locations, and the objects, space, and instrument together form a whole in which a museum visit takes on a new dimension.

The first performance at 1:30 p.m. focuses on the exhibition "Seeking Central Finnishness", the second at 3:30 p.m. on KeMu's rotating exhibitions "Freddy Fabris" and "Rallia in Jyväskylä". Both performances last 30 minutes.

Ahti Lassila creates both classical and rhythmic music and has visited museums with his double bass since 2015.
