The History of Finnish Orchestral Music is a narrative concert that traces the development of orchestral music in Finland from the 18th century to the present day. The programme features works by renowned composers alongside lesser-known pieces. The orchestra is conducted by violinist Antti Tikkanen, known from the band Meta4.
The performance is created by actor duo Timo Ruuskanen and Tuukka Vasama, recognised for their insightful interpretations of classical works. Their Red Nose Company has been pioneering theatrical clowning in Finland and recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
