Singer Annika Eklund performs as a duo at Harjupaviljonki in Heinola. Over her 30-year career, she has created numerous hits and performed in significant musical theatre productions.
Annika Eklund (born 16 January 1979 in Vaasa) is a Finnish pop and iskelmä singer who has been performing since her early teens - first with her own band, later as a solo artist with seven studio albums to her name. She is best known for 'Shanghain valot' (2006), which reached the Finnish Eurovision national final and has since accumulated over 4.6 million Spotify streams. Alongside her recording career she has appeared in musical theatre productions and toured with the rock band Yö.
Eklund appeared on the Finnish TV show Tähdet, tähdet 2026, performing Erika Vikman's Eurovision entry 'Ich komme'.
Eklund was named to the jury of the 2026 Tangomarkkinat singing competition alongside Maria Lund and Yle's Pekka Laine.
Eklund performed 'Shanghain valot' live as an interval act at UMK25, Finland's Eurovision national selection, together with Bess, Eini, Keira, Laura Voutilainen and Linda Lampenius.
Eklund released the album 'Jääkauden jälkeen' in October 2024, her first full-length record in twelve years.
Eklund toured Finland on the Finnhits 50 concert tour in late 2024 alongside Nina Tapio, Tomi Metsäketo and Sami Hintsanen.
