Herra Ylppö is a Finnish singer-songwriter best known as the frontman of Maj Karma, one of the defining Finnish rock bands of the 2000s. Both his debut album with Herra Ylppö & Ihmiset (2008) and its follow-up reached number one on the Finnish official albums chart. After leaving Maj Karma in 2023, he formed a new band under his own name, moving toward heavier rock with electronic textures.
Herra Ylppö released the single 'Hyvästi yö' in November 2025, marking his return to new music after a five-year gap, with a debut on the TV show Vain elämää.
