Idän Ihmeet is a Finnish gospel and pop-folk trio from Tampere, active from 2006 to 2016 and now returning for a 20th-anniversary run. The band - Ville Huuri (violin, vocals), Atte-Veikko Kemppainen (guitar, vocals) and Janne Simojoki (percussion, vocals) - built a devoted following through high-energy live shows, tight three-part harmonies and a style that roams freely between folk, pop, rock and acoustic punk. They released an EP and two studio albums before going on an open-ended hiatus in 2016.
Idän Ihmeet announced a comeback after a ten-year hiatus, celebrating their 20th anniversary with the Ylösnousemus tour in autumn 2026.
The band performed at Glow Festival on the Nokia Arena stage in Tampere in August 2026, their first live appearance in a decade.
The Ylösnousemus anniversary tour runs three dates: Helsinki (Kuudes Linja, 7 Oct), Tampere (Olympia, 8 Oct) and Oulu (Pyhään Tuomaan kirkko, 9 Oct).
