About

Solid Base is a Swedish-Norwegian eurodance duo formed in Stockholm in 1994 by producers Jonas Eriksson and Mattias Eliasson - the name itself comes from a synthesizer sound. The original lineup paired singer Isabelle Heitman with rapper Thomas Nordin (Teo T), and their 1996 debut album Finally broke through first in Norway before spreading across Scandinavia, earning triple gold in Norway and platinum in Finland. The Take Off (1998) went gold in Japan. After a decade-long hiatus the group returned in 2014 with new vocalists alongside Nordin, and has since toured Scandinavia regularly as a fixture of 90s eurodance nostalgia events.
