Tony Buck (born 1962, Sydney) is an Australian drummer, percussionist and multi-instrumentalist best known as a founding member of the experimental trio The Necks, which he has been part of since 1987 alongside pianist Chris Abrahams and bassist Lloyd Swanton. Beyond The Necks, he has collaborated with John Zorn, Evan Parker, Otomo Yoshihide and The Ex, among many others, and leads his own projects including Peril and Kletka Red. After early years in Australia and a period in Japan, he relocated to Europe in the mid-1990s, eventually settling in Berlin.
The Necks released Disquiet on 10 October 2025, their 20th studio album and first-ever triple CD, spanning over three hours across four pieces.
Disquiet was rated #9 in the best albums of 2025 on Rate Your Music.
The Necks toured Europe in autumn 2025, with dates in London, Bristol, Milan, Berlin, Prague and Budapest.
The Necks played Riga and Athens in April 2026, followed by Ljubljana in May 2026.
