Unholy Summer Fest
The metal festival Unholy Summer Fest features Turmion Kätilöt, Havukruunu, Ikinä, Sarofin, Deathropy, and Decrowned across two stages in Joensuu.
Turmion Kätilöt (literally 'Midwives of Ruin') is a Finnish industrial metal band founded in 2003 by MC Raaka Pee and DJ Vastapallo in Kuopio. Over eleven studio albums they have built a reputation for ferocious live shows and a sound that welds heavy riffs to electronic and dance elements - all sung in Finnish. Multiple albums have reached the Finnish chart top five, several earning gold records, and in 2022 the band was chosen as the opening act for Nightwish's sold-out European arena tour.
Turmion Kätilöt released their eleventh studio album Reset via Nuclear Blast Records on 25 October 2024.
The band published their first autobiography, 'En tahdo unohtaa koskaan' by Elina Järvi, to coincide with the Reset release.
Single 'Pulssi' from Reset featured Kasperi Heikkinen of Beast In Black as a guest.
The band launched the Reset World Tour 2024-2026, covering Finland and multiple European countries.
Turmion Kätilöt are scheduled to perform at Provinssi festival in Seinäjoki on 26 June 2026.
