Stam1na is a Finnish metal band from Lemi, South Karelia, active since 1996. Rooted in thrash and progressive metal, the band sings exclusively in Finnish and has built a reputation for technically demanding music paired with sharp, socially engaged lyrics. Over eleven studio albums they have claimed eight number-one positions on the Finnish album chart, seven Emma Awards and a string of gold and platinum certifications - a track record that places them firmly among the country's most successful rock acts.
Stam1na released their eleventh studio album Apnea on 20 February 2026 via Sakara Records / Sony Music.
The band released the single 'Golem' on 5 December 2025 as the first preview of the upcoming Apnea album.
Stam1na launched the Käärmeennyrkki 2026 tour across Finland in support of Apnea, starting 6 March 2026.
Stam1na joined Swallow the Sun's European 'Shining Over Europe' tour as special guest, covering 13 countries from 14 April to 6 May 2025.
Guitarist Antti Hyyrynen confirmed in April 2025 that the band was actively working on new album material with fresh ideas and a new approach.
