Kontulan Summer Fridays: Poetry Day

Fri 3.7. Kontulan Library celebrates a poetic day in the spirit of poetry and summer's day (6.7.).

The programme features RUNOKUVIA - an interactive typewriter performance. Poet Aika Huusko writes short, incantatory commissioned poems on the spot for all interested participants. A runokuva emerges from a brief conversation between you and the poet, and the result is a collage-based poem-weaving where the flash of encounter is captured in words like lightning traced on the retina. You can take the work with you both as typed on the typewriter and recited aloud.

Kontulan Summer Fridays run on Fridays from 5.6. to 7.8. from 1-3 pm (not 19.6.). Weather permitting, events are held outside the library; in case of rain, indoors. Entry is free for all without advance registration, though some events have limited capacity due to space constraints.
