POC Reading Circle - Peer-Supported Reading Group

The POC Reading Circle is a peer-supported reading group consisting of two meetings at Tikkurila Library. At the first meeting, participants get to know each other and receive a book to take home. At the second meeting, the group discusses the book together and the thoughts it inspires.

The reading circle focuses on Carmen Baltzar's debut work carmen, which combines image and text.

The event is aimed at POC readers - Black and Brown people - and operates on a peer-support basis. A maximum of 9 people can participate, with registration on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration: https://forms.gle/NKhzqzGCYcNhXXZXA

The POC Reading Circle seeks to highlight works by POC authors and promote more diverse representation in literature. The event is funded by the City of Vantaa.
