MDC (USA), Terveet Kädet, Kohu-63

On the first Saturday of August, MDC (USA), Kohu-63, and Terveet Kädet perform at Tavara-asema in Tampere.

Millions Of Dead Cops, founded in Austin, Texas in 1979, is known for the classic "John Wayne Was A N*zi". MDC's lyrics critique authority, homophobia, capitalism, and American culture - the band has permanently shaped punk culture.

Tampere-based Kohu-63 has operated independently from the start: it deliberately provoked, resisted everything, and feared no venue. Under the leadership of Arto "Lättä" Hyytiäinen, the band has not engaged in any yo-yo-like comeback movement but does what it wants regardless of how much the world has changed in 50 years. Tavara-asema hosts Kohu-63's 50th anniversary concert. The band is known for, among other things, the album Korkeapaineistettu Hullujen huone.

Terveet Kädet was founded in Tornio in 1979 - it is Finland's first hardcore punk band. The band is best known for its straightforward, often just 30-second songs from the early 1980s and has achieved cult status in HC punk circles worldwide. For instance, Sepultura/Soulfly musician Max Cavalera has stated that this band is his favorite. Terveet Kädet is currently finishing its next album, which will be released later this year.
