About

Terveet Kädet ("Healthy Hands") is a Finnish hardcore punk band founded in Tornio in January 1980, widely credited as one of the first hardcore acts in Finland. Built around vocalist Veli-Matti "Läjä" Äijälä as its only constant member, the band shaped the Nordic hardcore scene and drew admirers as far afield as Max Cavalera of Sepultura and Mike Patton. After disbanding in 2016, the group returned with the Svart Records album "Kaikki kaikkia vastaan" in 2023 and has been playing live regularly since.
