About

Kohu-63 is a hardcore punk band from Tampere, Finland, active since the late 1970s and one of the acknowledged pioneers of Finnish punk. Led by vocalist Arto "Lättä" Hyytiäinen, the band built its reputation on blunt social criticism - targeting corrupt politicians, police, religion and war - delivered with raw, fast-paced hardcore. Their 1982 album Lisää verta historiaan is widely regarded as a landmark of Finnish hardcore, and the band has continued releasing records and touring, including a US tour documented in a television film, well into the 2000s and 2010s.
