The observation tower on Matti Nykänen's hill and the Hill Café are open to the public on August weekends until Sunday 30.8. The tower features two covered viewing platforms and an open area at the summit, offering a 360° panorama of the surrounding cityscape and natural landscape. Summer rain is no problem thanks to the covered platforms.

The Hill Café serves hot drinks, fresh cardamom buns, cold beverages, and a rotating selection of ice cream during the tower's opening hours.

Admission to the observation tower: adult 5 €, child/youth/student/pensioner 3 €, family 12 €. The event is organised by Jyväskylä Ski Club.
