Alvar Aalto - A Journey in Nature

The cruise departs at 14.00 from Jyväskylä harbour on s/s Suomi - the same vessel that architect Alvar Aalto once used to travel to Säynätsalo. The ship has restaurant and café facilities. Säynätsalo dock is reached at 15.20.

From the dock, a guide leads the group to Säynätsalo municipal building, where he shares stories about Aalto's architecture and life. After the tour, there is an opportunity to enjoy coffee and pastries at the municipal building's café. The return journey to Jyväskylä is by local bus no. 16 or 21 (departure around 17.00 according to Jyväskylä transport schedule).

The cruise price includes the boat journey, guided tour, and return bus ride to Jyväskylä.
