Ida Elina & Semmarit Joint Concert at Juurikkasaari 18.7.26

Ida Elina is an internationally recognized singer-songwriter who has revolutionized kantele playing through her signature "slap-style" - a percussion technique inspired by YouTube guitarists. Helsingin Sanomat has noted that her pop cover versions transformed the instrument, and the German newspaper Vorarlberger Nachrichten wrote about how she "reinvented this traditional gentle and melancholic instrument and made it equally accessible to both pop and folk music".

Seminaarinmäki's male singers, or Semmarit, is a male choir founded in 1989 whose music draws from rock and pop. The songs are created through collaboration of the entire choir. Semmarit's concerts combine music with light and smoke effects, digital visuals, choreography, and humorous hosting.
