This is Kontula - Fashion Event

This is Kontula is an event focused on Afro fashion and multiculturalism at Kontula Shopping Centre. It is organized by Diana Mansaray (founder and host of the ChatWithMissD discussion programme) and Jemima Owusu (founder of the AfroCheck fashion brand) in collaboration with Kontula's cultural shop.

The day's programme includes stand-up performances, DJ music, hair braiding, and food and product sales. The highlight is a fashion show featuring creations from five designers and brands - Esengo, AF Blueberry, KC Lawrence, F'Joy Couture, and AfroCheck.

The catwalk will take place at Kontula Shopping Centre's central plaza. A detailed schedule will be published closer to the event date. The event is free and open to everyone.
