Toisissa tiloissa Collective: Peace Declaration

Peace Declaration is a series of collective performance art events from the Toisissa tiloissa collective, asking: what does peace look like and feel like?

In September, two public workshops are held in collaboration with Stoa and Kanneltalo. In the workshops, participants create shared bodily actions together with the collective's artists - "peace movements" - simple activities that open observations of the environment and peaceful coexistence between people. The movements are accompanied by live wind music. The Stoa workshop takes place on Sunday, 6 September from 1-3:30 p.m. (registration by 3 September) and the Kanneltalo workshop on Saturday, 12 September from 1-3:30 p.m. (registration by 9 September).

Everyone over 14 years old is welcome. Children from 10 years old can participate with an adult. The workshops are held outdoors near the cultural centres - the exact location will be announced later, and indoor spaces are available if needed. Dress according to the weather so that movement and time on the ground are possible, and bring a water bottle and, if needed, a light snack. The gathering for the Stoa workshop takes place at Stoa's square at Turunlinnantie 1, Itäkeskus.

The series of performance art events culminates at Kansalaistori on 19 September. All workshop participants are encouraged to attend this event as well - registration will open later. Information about the Kanneltalo event will be updated on Kanneltalo's website.
