Orphans

A story about freedom, brotherhood, and violence.

Brothers Treat and Phillip (Pyry Nikkilä and Juho Uusitalo) have grown up together in a row house in North Philadelphia - their mother died when they were small, their father disappeared. The childlike Phillip never leaves the apartment, because according to Treat he suffers from a life-threatening allergy. The unstable and violent Treat supports them through crime.

One evening Treat brings home a drunk Harold (Petri Liski) who carries a valuable stock portfolio. Harold is himself an orphan, raised in an institution - and according to Treat's plan, he will become a hostage whose friends must pay millions to free him. Soon it becomes clear that Harold is no ordinary street kid, and the situation does not unfold as planned. Harold makes an offer to the brothers that transforms their lives. But can a broken soul escape its past, let alone itself?
