Suddenly - and other ways to change is a solo work by Kerttu Opus and Opus Company that combines magic, circus and theatre in an exploration of change, loss and growth. The performance examines the idea of continuously shedding old layers - how we want to be better versions of ourselves, but rarely manage to control this process. Suddenly explores themes of grief, loss, pain and deep joy woven through these transformations.

The performance is part of the first Helsinki Circus Festival, a four-day event featuring a programme of 13 circus works in various styles, new magic and children's performances. The festival is produced by Pro Sirkus ry in collaboration with Cirkon - Uuden sirkuksen keskus, Kulttuurikeskus Stoa and Kulttuurikeskus Caisa. At Caisa, Suddenly is shown alongside the performance Memoirs of Mud; other performances take place in a circus tent on the Suvilahti field and in surrounding street areas.
