Special Art: Touch Panel

In this workshop, participants create their own artistic touch panel - a "panel" - from various materials under the guidance of visual artist Raita Virkkunen. The finished panel can be felt and explored by hand, and each panel is unique to its creator.

Technique: construction and gluing.

The workshop is designed for preschool and primary school children with special support needs. Children can participate with one adult or with a larger support group. A maximum of around five children per group are accepted. Two art educators, Sanna and Miila, work in the space, plus an additional assistant if needed. Visual support and sensory aids are available, the working pace is flexible according to participants' needs, and people can leave the space or take breaks as needed. The workshop is free.
