The History of Vartiokylänlahti and Its Surroundings - Workers' Institute Lecture

This lecture explores the development of the Vartiokylänlahti area over past centuries - the places, people, and future prospects of this region.

During the Middle Ages, two villages emerged on the shores of the lake, which later developed into the estates of Puotila and Rastila. The area also contained a fortress that guarded an ancient sea passage.
