Dance and Nature Workshops - for Grades 3-6
ilmainen
These workshops are designed for students in grades 3-6 interested in dance, performance, and nature. No previous dance experience is required. The instructors are dancer and dance pedagogue Jenni Koistinen and dancer and choreographer Virva Talonen. Throughout the autumn, researchers Anna Rainio and Tuija Kasa will also visit the workshops.
In the workshops, we explore different ways to dance and move, both individually and together. We create our own dances and small performances, and you can bring your own music and dance ideas. Meetings take place both in the dance studio and in the forests around Vuosaari. We hope participants will stay engaged throughout the entire autumn.
The workshops are held in Vuotalo's small hall. They are part of the University of Helsinki's "Art of Knowing" project, funded by the Kone Foundation. Participants are welcome to take part in the project's research if they wish - for more information about the research: anna.rainio@helsinki.fi.
The workshops are led in Finnish, and in Swedish and English if needed.
