Risto Isomäki as Author Guest

Vantaa's library autumn tour "What Does the Future Look Like?" runs from 2.9.-28.11.2026. This year's theme is the future, approached from the perspectives of everyday life, society, and imagination.

Risto Isomäki visits Länsimäki Library on Tuesday, 27.10.2026 at 18:00. Isomäki discusses his novel Kraken saari (Into, 2025). He is known as one of the international pioneers of climate-change literature, but a central theme in his fiction is the rewriting of humanity's ancient myths.

Kraken saari combines suspense, science, and mythology: the holiday destination Tenerife takes on new meaning when a marine technology company develops a new solution to the world's energy problems near the Canary Islands.
