Licorice and Salty Ammonia Candy Festival

The Licorice and Salty Ammonia Candy Festival takes place at Old Harbour on 3-4 October 2026. Saturday is open 10.00-18.00 and Sunday 10.00-16.00. Admission costs 20 €.

The festival features both well-known brands and small artisan producers - from traditional handmade licorice to super-strong salty ammonia candy and various flavour combinations where licorice meets berries, chili, or other surprising partners.

Experts share the history of licorice, its ingredients, and production methods. Tasting is more than just looking: at the festival you can flavour and combine your own creations under professional guidance, and try licorice in both savoury and sweet dishes - and in wine.
