Music from the Carpathians

The concert features authentic music from Ukraine's ethnic minorities in the Carpathian Mountains - the mountain dwellers, Hutsuls, and Lemkos. The programme includes tender and fiery, sorrowful and spirited, dreamy and heroic melodies.

Singer Andrij Boženski adds vibrant colour to the programme with his repertoire of well-known Ukrainian folk songs.

Džerela Karpati performs ancient ethnic music from western Ukraine. It is played on traditional folk instruments such as the cymbal, nai (panpipe), and ocarina. The ensemble has performed in Poland, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Macedonia, Italy, Spain, Romania, Bulgaria, Canada, and the USA.
