Lättähattu Train in Hankasalmi

The Keitele Museum's lättähattu train makes an autumn excursion on Saturday, 19.9. Passengers departing from Hankasalmi can travel around Soisalo for the entire day and return to Hankasalmi in the evening.

The route runs through Pieksämäki to Rantasalmi, Varkaus, and continues through Viinijärvi and Siilinjärvi to Yläkoski. Along the way are several sites of interest to railway enthusiasts: the Rantasalmi line, the Kommila section in Varkaus without passenger service, and the railway line between Viinijärvi and Siilinjärvi.

This is a rare opportunity to travel on railway sections that currently have no regular passenger service.
