The freshers' party is the autumn's main event for new students, and the 2026 theme is "GAMES". Participants dress according to the theme - inspiration can be drawn from card games, board games, video games, or anything else, as long as the game is the theme. The best costumes are rewarded: registration for the individual costume contest is done at the Laureamko tent by 6 p.m., and voting takes place at the event via Laureamko's Instagram account @laureamko. Additionally, the three teams that collect the most points during the checkpoint circuit are rewarded.

The checkpoint circuit is completed in teams of 8-15 people. You can register in a ready-made team, in a smaller group, or alone - those who register alone or in small groups form mixed teams. Note! Ready-made teams and team candidates have separate ticket types, so check which one applies to you. Changes to the team can be made until 19.9. at 12:00 in the Kide.app wallet.

Ticket prices: student union members 7 € and non-members 15 €. Separate continuation tickets to Apollo will go on sale 15.9. - they work if you want to participate only in the continuation and the checkpoint circuit doesn't interest you.

Date: Tuesday 22.9.2026, Kaivopuisto.
Start point open: 15:30-19:00.
Checkpoint circuit time: 16:00-20:30, completion passes can be returned to the start checkpoint until 21:00.
Continuation at Apollo: 22:00-04:00.
Dress code: Games, i.e. various games + overalls, if you own them.
