Ville Lähde and Tere Vadén as Guest Authors

At the opening of Jumbo Library, writers Ville Lähde and Tere Vadén present their new work "12 Concepts of the World - A Handbook for the Age of Advancing Environmental Crisis" (European Philosophical Society, 2026). The book brings together work by Lähde, Vadén, and the BIOS research unit spanning a decade. As Lähde describes it: "Environmental thinking must change as the world changes. The book offers tools both for renewing thought and for countering misconceptions."

Ville Lähde is an environmental researcher, philosopher, science journalist, and non-fiction author from Lempäälä. Tere Vadén is a philosopher, science journalist, and author working as a senior assistant at the Hypermedia Laboratory at Tampere University.
